Our founder, Bert Altfillisch, began his career in earthmoving at the end of World War II. A decorated veteran, Bert purchased an army surplus tractor and started land leveling for agricultural operations in the Central Valley. Altfillisch Construction Company incorporated in 1950. Among its more notable accomplishments, Altfillisch Construction Company acted as managing partner for the construction of Perris Dam and moved 40 million cubic yards for Anaconda Copper Co. in Arizona.
