Jaguar Mining Inc. (Jaguar) is engaged in gold production, and in the acquisition, exploration, development and operation of gold mineral properties in Brazil. Jaguar’s properties are located in or adjacent to the Iron Quadrangle region of Brazil, a greenstone belt located east of the city of Belo Horizonte in the state of Minas Gerais. Jaguar has two operations in production, located at the Sabara and Turmalina properties, respectively. In addition, Jaguar has two properties under development: the Paciencia and Caete projects. Jaguar has also entered into a joint venture agreement with Xstrata plc. (Xstrata) to explore the Pedra Branca property in northeastern Brazil. Jaguar conducts operations through its wholly owned subsidiaries Mineracao Serras do Oeste, Ltda. (MSOL) and Mineracao Turmalina Ltda. (MTL).
