Chartwell Hotels is a full service hotel development and management company, operating full and limited service properties throughout the Eastern United States. Chartwell currently manages /owns five hotels consisting of 571 rooms under the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Quality Inn and Holiday Inn flags. Two of the five hotels are full service hotel in which Chartwell operates full service restaurants, banquet facilities and night clubs. The principals of Chartwell have over 40 combined years of experience in owning and operating hotels. Chartwell was initially formed to manage the Tsunis family's hotel portfolio. Since that time, Chartwell has: Increased NOI by 15% at the full service hotels Purchased a Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn in 2007. Reduced insurance costs by 12% Responsible for the oversight of significant renovations and PIPs. Earned numerous quality Excellence Awards from the franchisors, most recently the 2007 "Newcomer of the Year" Award from InterContinental Hotels for the Holiday Inn, Williamsport, PA. Repositioned in-house restaurants for a more profitable operation and higher guest satisfaction scores. Established a "Chartwell sales and Chartwell operational platform" that assist the properties in achieving their goals. Implemented "green programs" in their hotels to reduce the carbon footprint of the hotels and improve their cost structure.
