Info
The Wolf Range Company was established back in 1933 in East Los Angeles by two brothers, Al and Hyman Wolf. They began by repairing domestic ranges, and rebuilding used ranges for resale. Their entry into the commercial cooking equipment business was almost accidental. A customer brought to them a small flat steel plate and asked that they fit an angle frame and burners to it. Domestic range oven burners were used and the customer was apparently satisfied because he soon brought in six more plates for the same modification. Al Wolf learned that this equipment was being sold to a Long Beach restaurant equipment vendor who was selling them to restaurants as griddles. This was their introduction to the restaurant equipment industry. By 1938, the company was manufacturing a line of commercial gas ranges, griddles, fryers, and ovens for sale to food equipment dealers in eleven western States. From the beginning, the philosophy of the Wolf brothers was to produce high quality products and offer excellent customer service. Over the years, the Wolf name became synonymous with quality products and customer service. This reputation earned the company an impressive list of nationally known customers such as McDonald's, Bob's Big Boy, Taco Bell, MGM Grand Hotels, and so many others. The success of Wolf Range is a result of the personal pride of its founders, Al and Hyman Wolf. Their name appeared on the nameplate of their products. They believed their equipment should be the very best that it could be. They believed in excellence in performance, appearance, and design and most of all they were determined that their customers were satisfied with the products they purchased from Wolf and with the service they received. The philosophy of the Wolf Range Company has not changed, and is continually being reinforced as our employees are committed to providing the highest quality in heavy-duty cooking equipment.
