At Aspen Mortuaries we operate our own crematory. As members of the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) we have pledged to conduct our business in accordance with the highest standard of crematory practice. Operating our own crematory allows us to schedule, control and perform the entire cremation process from start to finish without having to rely on a third party, located outside our community. One of only two crematories located in Jefferson County, we are the only one open for public inspection. We are also licensed and monitored by the city of Lakewood, which requires that we submit monthly log books, operate and maintain emission sensing equipment that proves we are in accordance with city of Lakewood requirements. We maintain an extensive identification process that insures your loved ones remains will be returned to you. Witnessing of the Cremation can also be arranged.
