Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Inc. (Hexion) is a producer of thermosetting resins, or thermosets. The Company provides an array of thermosets and associated technologies. Hexion’s thermosets are sold under a variety of brand names, including BORDEN (phenolic and amino resins), EPIKOTE (epoxy resins), EPIKURE (epoxy curatives), BAKELITE (phenolic and epoxy resins), LAWTER (inks) and CARDURA (automotive coatings). Hexion’s products are sold into diverse markets, such as forest products, architectural and industrial paints, packaging, consumer products, automotive coatings, composites, ultraviolet (UV) cured coatings and electrical laminates. As of December 31, 2007, it had 99 production sites worldwide. Through its worldwide network of production facilities, Hexion serves more than 8,900 customers in over 110 countries.
