The Heartland Lions Eye Banks provides eye tissues to medical researchers throughout the nation, working on a variety of ocular research projects. The Eye Bank is committed to helping find cures for blinding eye diseases by providing research tissue to medical professionals. Additionally, the Eye Bank is the largest supplier of eye tissue to the National Disease Research Interchange (NDRI), a non-profit organization that acts as a middleman for medical researchers and organ, eye and tissue banks. Recently, the Eye Bank became a sub-station for NDRI and has increased its commitment to the research community through the expansion of their partnership.
