Celsion Corporation is a biotechnology company focused on developing drugs for the treatment of various cancer indications. The first of these development projects involves ThermoDox, a heat activated liposome containing doxorubicin. The Company plans to develop ThermoDox for multiple cancer indications. Celsion is conducting various clinical trials related to ThermoDox. Celsion recently completed a Phase I dose escalation study on the treatment of liver cancer and is nearing completion of a second Phase I study related to the use of a single vial formulation of ThermoDox. Celsion is pursuing primary liver cancer as its lead indication for ThermoDox.
