We have been offering our competent CPA services to clients throughout the Pikes Peak Region since 1994. We specialize in income tax preparation and income tax planning services for individuals, trusts, estates, and businesses of all sizes and types; accounting and planning services for start-up, small, and medium-sized businesses; and financial and retirement coaching services for individuals. Sanders and Associates, P.C., is a member in good standing of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. The president of our firm is Martin P. Sanders, CPA. Mr. Sanders maintains active CPA licenses in both Colorado and California, and has been a licensed CPA since 1973. He is a member in good standing of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants with more than 35 years professional experience, working both in the public accounting field as well as in the private business sector. His experience as an executive in the private industry sector enables us to provide our business clients with the benefits of this valuable knowledge. We employ four permanent staff members that work in the area of accounting services of which two are members of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers and have each worked with us for over ten years. These important staff members have over 60 years combined experience in the field of accounting. They are available year round to provide our valued clients with a wide array of services including bookkeeping, bank and account reconciliations, payroll calculations, payroll tax preparation, sales tax preparation, and similar important business related services. They prepare monthly compilation reports for our bookkeeping clients so the clients can more clearly understand the financial aspects of their businesses and make informed business decisions. We also employ other knowledgeable experienced Colorado Springs CPAs during the year to assist in the preparation of income tax returns and assist on other special projects. We annually prepare more than 1,200 income tax returns for individuals, over 400 business tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships, and over 100 tax returns for trusts, estates, gifts, and non-profit organizations. We are very experienced in the preparation of multi-state income tax returns for our clients and we annually prepare tax returns for over 25 different states, including those complex California tax returns. We can, and have, prepared tax returns for all states that have an income tax. We are extremely knowledgeable in the area of real estate and the tax implications of real estate transactions. For those who are behind in their tax filings, we can prepare tax returns for all prior years. Should there be any problem with a taxing agency, we represent our clients and handle any correspondence or conferences necessary. Since we are very familiar with business taxation, we offer knowledgeable advice on the selection of the appropriate business entity to those starting a new business, and evaluations of the most advantageous business entity for established businesses. This includes a comparison of the tax and legal implications of various entities and a comparison of the taxation of benefits to the owners and employees. We are able to offer our clients audit and business valuation services through our alliances with other CPA firms in the Colorado Springs area.
