Freebirds is a privately-owned, Fast Casual restaurant company headquartered in College Station, Texas. Freebirds was founded in 1987 as a burrito restaurant incorporating fresh, all natural ingredients in a relaxed non-fast food setting targeting 18 - 35 year old consumers. Founder, Pierre Dube, and CEO, Alan Hixon, have grown the Freebirds brand from its initial location in College Station into a successful restaurant chain with 19 stores in key markets throughout Texas. Freebirds retained GulfStar Group to assist Mr. Dube and non-active investors in achieving liquidity for their business while providing existing management with an owner interested in expanding the concept.
