Hoodoo Land & Cattle Company (HLCC) is a management company that oversees the large scale land investments of Hunt Consolidated, Inc. and Hunt Oil Company. Unlike a public company, a private company can inventory large tracts of land and capture a value when the property is exploited or developed. Through its agribusiness operations, the company runs up to 15,000 head of cattle and farms some 10,000 acres of citrus, hay, alfalfa, vegetables, grains, and sugar cane. HLCC's objective is to strategically acquire and hold large tracts of raw land and defray the cost of carrying them through agricultural activities until we can realize higher returns in our core businesses: Mineral Exploitation, Real Estate Development, or a strategic land sale.
