Imperial Western Products was incorporated in 1966 and headquartered in Coachella, California. The company's principle businesses are manufacturing, warehousing and marketing of feed commodities. These commodities include; feeds, oils, soaps, methyl esters, and glycerin. The company operates at four plant locations; Selma CA, Coachella CA, Roswell NM, and Buckeye AZ. IWP merchandises its products throughout the continental U.S., Hawaii, Mexico, and Canada. In 1985, ownership of the company was transferred to its current president, Bill Trawick. IWP's primary business prior to this change was to process and merchandise whole cottonseed. Working with the state of California, the corporation developed and still operates the only approved detoxification facility within the state of California. Since, 1985 the corporation has diversified into the manufacturing of value added products,transportation, warehousing, distribution, and merchandising. It's staff of engineers, chemists, fabricators, welders, plumbers and mechanics design, fabricate and assemble specialized equipment from vacuum trucks to processing plants. The development of value added products such as hand soaps, degreasers, and methyl esters have allowed IWP to remain an industry leader. The company's goal is to produce each product at the lowest possible cost and provide unparalleled quality and service with each product. Quality control laboratories on each site play an important role in the manufacturing process. Technical service, product and equipment designs are provided with various product lines. IWP operates sixteen divisions with each divisional manager specializing in each of their areas. These divisions employ over 200 people and generate in excess of 150 million dollars in gross sales annually.
