Freightliner Specialty Vehicles was established in 1995 as Sinor Manufacturing Company. The name was changed to Freightliner Specialty Vehicles, Inc., in 1998 when a change in ownership occurred. The company was formed to build a variety of specialized vehicles. Today the company builds ambulances, rescue vehicles, and specialized towing vehicles as well as other products.
