Weetabix, the leading British breakfast cereal manufacturer that produces famous brands such as Weetabix, Alpen and Ready Brek, has signed a new five-year contract worth £891,000 total turnover, with Eurest. This makes Weetabix one of Eurest's longest standing clients, with a contractual partnership that has spanned 45 years. Eurest supplies all Weetabix's catering and hospitality services for the company's two sites in Burton Latimer and one in Corby. 1,600 employees are served every day with a mouth-watering selection of hot meals including lasagne, roast meals, curry, shepherds pie, salads and desserts. In addition, Weetabix staff can sample Tastte! sandwiches, Upper Crust baguettes and Ritazza bean-to-cup premium coffee including café latte, mocha, espresso, americano and cappuccino. To bring individuality and creativity to their cooking, the Eurest chefs at Weetabix get their inspiration from seasonal events. Recent promotions included celebrating Diwali Day when a banquet of Indian cuisine, including a range of mouth-watering curries, breads and spicy side dishes, was prepared alongside a range of tempting Indian sweets. By contrast, 'Vegetarian Week' allowed the chefs to showcase a range of vegetarian options for their customers including casseroles, pasta dishes, soups and nut roasts, all served with a choice of tasty complementary sauces. Two of the company's three staff restaurants, seating a total of 450 people, have been fully refurbished in contemporary style providing a light and airy atmosphere. In addition, Eurest provides staff with 'Chef's Theatre' - a lively culinary experience where chefs prepare and cook delicious dishes of the day to order in front of their customers.
