Established in 1976 by Ben Feder, Clinton Vineyards, in the tradition of small premium European estates, chose to specialize in producing white wine and champagnes, made in the classic French methode champenoise. Clinton Seyval Blanc and Seyval Naturel earned distinction and a loyal following of consumers and wine professionals. The wines are Estate Bottled, produced from grapes grown on the 15 acre vineyard. In recent years, Clinton Vineyards and Winery added dessert wines to the list. ROMANCE, a late harvest port style wine made from the seyval grape, EMBRACE, a delicious and intense wine made exclusively from organically grown raspberries, and DESIRE, a lusty blackberry wine. All perfect endings for a wonderful dinner. Clinton Vineyards wines have been selected by wine stewards at fine dining establishments and private clubs in New York. The wines were prominently showcased at the Democratic National Convention in New York and Chicago and were served at the White House as well as at the Clinton/Yeltsin summit meeting at Hyde Park, NY. The beauty and intimacy of Clinton Vineyards make it a favorite destination for visitors to the Hudson Valley. Proprietors Phyllis and Ben Feder have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere and are on hand to greet you. A walk through the vineyard and around the property, viewing the wine making facility housed in a historic Dutch barn, visiting the champagne cellar and sampling the wines in the charming tasting room and retail shop add up to a wonderful visit.
