It also provides solar hardware systems and mounting hardware for a variety of solar power applications. Its customers include public and private energy utilities and communication companies, cable operators, financial institutions, governmental agencies, original equipment manufacturers, contractors and subcontractors, distributors and value-added resellers. On May 30, 2008, Optical Cable Corporation acquired Superior Modular Products Incorporated, doing business as SMP Data Communications, from the Company.
