The Bean Bag
Info
The Bean Bag is the family-owned business of Chip Morris, grower of the gourmet dry beans and his wife Bobbie. They and their sons, Chad and Trevor, live in the farming community of Clarksburg, California. Chip Morris graduated from college with a B.S. degree in agriculture and farmed commodity crops for many years. Over time, specialty crops drew Chip's interest, and while doing consultant work, he stumbled upon unusual dry beans. After doing serious research, test plots and consultations with several universities, Chip decided to try farming them. As The Bean Bag business, Chip began farming 54 varieties on 180 acres and has successfully grown these specialty beans for years. Through ongoing research and development, The Bean Bag continues to uncover new bean varieties to grow and further develop. For generations, dating back to the 1800's, Chip and Bobbie's families have been involved in agriculture in the Sacramento Valley area. It is this family tradition that The Bean Bag continues with pride and excitement about the preservation of ancient beans grown from seed and handed down from generation to generation. The Bean Bag offers unique and unusual beans ... many varieties not find anywhere else. Give yourself or someone you care about "the gift of better health" and start eating beans today!
