Chicopee Bancorp, Inc. is a holding company for Chicopee Savings Bank (the Bank). The Bank’s principal business consists of the acceptance of retail deposits from the general public and the investment of those deposits, together with funds generated from borrowings, retail operations, investment management and insurance services, into a line of lending products including one- to four-family, multi-family, commercial real estate, commercial business, construction and development, and consumer loans, including home equity lines of credit and automobile loans. The Bank generally originates loans for investment. The Bank also purchases one- to four family residential loans from time to time and invests in mortgage-backed securities and other permissible investments. The Bank’s primary sources of funds are deposits, principal and interest payments on loans and investments, advances from the Federal Home Loan Bank (the FHLB) and proceeds from loan sales.(Source: 10-K)
