Art Enterprises, Ltd. (AEL) is a closely-held corporation that owns and manages an extensive private art collection that is housed, on a rotating basis, in a variety of private residences and corporate and institutional locations in Illinois, Michigan, Utah, Virginia, and Florida. AEL's collection contains over eight hundred works by predominantly twentieth-century American artists. The works are by both lesser-known, and well established artists, working in a wide variety of media. This eclectic quality reflects AEL's wide-ranging interests and democratic approach to collecting. The collecting agenda, or perhaps one should say lack of agenda, is driven solely by passion-passion for art and the artists themselves.
