New Morning Star is a church that serves the Lord Jesus Christ, serves the Church (that includes families) and serves the Community. "For even the son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (mark 10:45). We ought to always live in such a way that no matter what we do it will be out of obedience to Christ, allowing Him to get all the glory. We should also look out for the needs of all the members of NMS beginning with the members of our own household first. Then we are to always be in the position to serve and meet the needs of the surrounding community. With all that is currently going on in the world, we are at a very strategic point as Christians to make a great impact in the world before Jesus returns to rapture us out of here! Therefore we have to do what we need to do "by any means necessary" within the scope of righteousness to insure that we have a ministry of excellence and that we focus on that which is near the heart of God: LOST SOULS! I thank God that He has gifted all of us to accomplish this task together! ! Our prayers, our gifts, our time, our energy, our resources, our very lives are all needed to fulfill the vision at NMS! But in order to see a vision come to pass we all must be willing to change. Someone has wisely said, "People avoid change until the pain of remaining the same is greater that the pain of changing." Let's not be motivated by a crisis to get things done, but become proactive in our attempt to keep our ministry fresh and lively. This also means we need to be willing to accept new challenges and trust God to accomplish it.
