NIEDERMAIER was founded in the mid sixties as a small, artistic print shop. In the beginning, the bulk of the business was screen-printed graphics. Early products included window backgrounds and banners for department stores. As the business grew, the company expanded into foliage, fixtures and props. Carried to its natural conclusion, NIEDERMAIER became and remains a full service visual merchandising and display company with clients that include every major retailer. At the end of each year, we clean out our factory and showrooms by holding a large clearance sale. These have varied in size and frequency, but they are well known in the Chicago area and include everything from furniture to one of a kind prototypes and original art. A separate venture started in 1978, NIEDERMAIER Furniture, has received various industry awards and citations. By using a variety of "Contributing Designers", we have been able to keep the line exciting and fresh. Contributors include: Nate Berkus, Vicente Wolf, Mark Demsky, Carlos Martinez and Powel-Kleinschmidt. The majority of NIEDERMAIER Furniture is used in contract settings such as offices and leading hotels, however many products are popular in the residential world as well.
