In early 1994, Morrisey created MSO with input from hospitals, centralized verification organizations (CVOs) and managed care organizations (MCOs). MSO has been licensed nationally by single users in small healthcare organizations, integrated healthcare delivery systems with multiple users and enterprises that provide commercial verification services. In 2001, recognizing that the software used in the study of practice patterns during the credentialing process could also streamline many other processes, Morrisey began a partnership with Eclipsys Corporation to redevelop and enhance its Sunrise Decision Support Manager. This natural progression for Morrisey resulted in Morrisey Concurrent Care Manager, the industry's only Web-based comprehensive case management system, which was launched in December 2003. As with our earlier products, MCCM was developed with significant input from a customer advisory board. The result is a complete system enhanced with new functionality and integrated with Sunrise Decision Support Manager and MSO for maximum usability.
