AVNC Continuing Education provides Hands-On short courses and training seminars in sound, vibrations, acoustics, and noise. Morning lectures are supplemented with Hands-On Workshops in the afternoon. The flagship five day course is the Noise and Vibration Control Short Course which deals with the basics of sound characteristics, vibrations of mechanical systems, and noise fields along with an in-depth coverage of noise control, sound control, and vibration control. Afternoon Hands-On Workshops apply topics learned in the morning to reinforce learning. Students leave the Hands-On course with the skills to do engineering noise control and the ability to quiet products.
