Gitchells Studio was established in 1907 and is conveniently located in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia. Owned and operated by Jim Carpenter, an award winning photographer also recogniged as “Photographer of the Year” 5 times by the Virginia Professional Photographers Association. Jim recently added photographer Portia Schneider for her innovative photographic style. Together they complement each others’ style and eye for photographic coverage.
