Description of West Virginia Child Care Association
The West Virginia Child Care Association (WVCCA) is an association of professional service agencies committed to improving the quality of life for West Virginia's children and their families. Formed in 1979, WVCCA impacts services and public policy across a wide spectrum including adoption, assessment, emergency shelters, family-based treatment, specialized foster care, family preservation services, independent living and residential treatment. The mission of the West Virginia KIDS COUNT Fund is to improve the condition of West Virginia's children by mobilizing the public and private sectors to create prevention and early intervention programs, policies, and strategies. Members of the Fund are among the state's most respected business, community, and religious leaders.
