Founded in 1987, VIF is dedicated to transforming lives through international exchange. VIF is designated by the U.S. State Department as an Exchange Visitor Program Sponsor. VIF carefully screens teacher applicants (with just 7 percent accepted this year) and provides comprehensive support services to help ensure classroom success and a rewarding experience for students, teachers and schools. As a result, 98 percent of VIF alumni say they would recommend VIF to a friend or colleague, according to an independently conducted survey, and school districts rate their VIF teachers as a nine on a 10-point scale. VIF teachers work in U.S. schools for up to three years.
