McCrone , Inc.
Info
McCrone, Inc. is a broad-based engineering firm with extensive experience in all phases of land surveying, civil engineering design, land-use planning, and environmental engineering. Our clients include federal, state, county and municipal governments, and the private sector. From its inception in 1937, McCrone, Inc. has grown from a family-oriented firm specializing in land surveying to a full-service engineering firm. Each of our seven design centers offices (four on the Delmarva Peninsula) tailors its engineering services to meet the specific needs of our clients. From feasibility studies to design, from construction stakeout to inspection, McCrone maintains a special concern for the environment. We examine the surrounding geographical area, the impact on the environment, and develop the most desirable approach to keep that impact to a minimum. We have established an excellent reputation for our ability to communicate with clients, architects, approving agencies, and contractors in project design and construction. This allows us to provide prompt, responsive service. McCrone's current staff consists of over 165 people including registered professional engineers, licensed surveyors, technicians, landscape architects, planners, and other experienced support staff. Yet, in spite of our size we have managed to maintain the "family-owned" atmosphere in each of our offices. Our employees live and work in the community. They own property, their children attend the school systems; they have a vested interest in what goes on in their neighborhoods. It is this "small town" philosophy that makes McCrone so successful. We take pride in our projects. Our workmanship is, more often than not, being evaluated by our families and friends, as well as our most ardent critic - ourselves. We live with the results of our endeavors and approach each project with this knowledge. McCrone, Inc. has a full complement of microcomputer hardware, software and peripherals available in-house for use as needed on all projects. We have found the coordination of data via electronic means of transfer facilitates the exchange of ideas and information. This facilitates the design review process, and aids in the coordination of architectural projects. We are constantly evaluating ourselves against stringent standards of excellence. Our primary goal is service, and our dedication to that end provides our client with an effective working relationship for years to come.
