Dogs , Inc.
Info
Dogs for the Deaf is committed to providing the very finest quality of training for both the dogs and our clients. This begins with an initial screening of dogs and applicants and continues with our commitment of support and help throughout the life of the team. Typically, our Trainers travel to shelters within one day's drive of our facility to screen dogs that are up to 65 pounds and up to 3 years of age. Our Trainers look for friendly, confident dogs that show an interest in people, toys, and treats. Dogs meeting the criteria are brought back to Dogs for the Deaf. They spend the first two weeks in our quarantine building. During this time, they are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and receive full medical screening. Any additional procedures, surgeries, and tests are done as needed. Healthy dogs with good temperaments then begin training in our training program. We Place Four Types of Dogs:Hearing DogsMiracle Mutts (Special Dogs for Special People)Harmony's Hounds (Dogs with Special Needs)Career Change Dogs (Wonderful Dogs that make loving pets and companions)
