Foster Civil Engineering, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary engineering, architecture, planning and surveying firm specializing in design and planning of public projects in the environmentally sensitive region of Lake Tahoe. Our staff of 16 professionals and technicians was organized in 1978 as a California Corporation and has been providing professional services from our Carnelian Bay office since that time. K.B. Foster Civil Engineering, Inc. is organized into departments for Planning & Environmental Evaluation, Engineering & Architectural design, and Surveying & Mapping. We provide a full range of planning, surveying, and civil engineering services. Intense public and agency involvement is continuously a factor of any development around Lake Tahoe and our team's staff have great expertise designing projects that conform to local regulations and land use requirements along with public needs. Our firm has developed positive working relationships with various state and local regulatory and public agencies including: California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC), Caltrans, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA), Placer County, El Dorado County, City of South Lake Tahoe, California Department of Fish and Game (Fish and Game), California State Lands Commission, State Water Resources Control Board, the Lahontan Region of the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (Lahontan), and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE).
