We are conveniently located in the heart of the Historic District, within a short walking distance to the beach and the Washington Street Mall, in a charming Victorian Town steeped in history and filled with quaint shops and fine restaurants. Enjoy bathing, boating fishing, golf, tennis, cycling, antiquing, strolling through the city's gas-lit streets lined with an extensive collection of Victorian homes, carriage rides, and band concerts in the town gazebo, or just relax in our inviting veranda and enjoy the cool sea breezes on a romantic evening. Explore Cape May Point State Park, climbing to the top of the Cape May Lighthouse, or searching for Cape May Diamonds on the bay side beaches. Pharo's Inn was commissioned to be built in 1867. The Italianate style was designed by the renowned architect Stephen Decatur Button and has been operated by the Pharo family since 1928. Today, it is run by your innkeepers Walt and Pat Kowalski. Pat is the granddaughter of Herb and Irene Pharo. We offer a cheerful, friendly, relaxing atmosphere for your enjoyment. Our large comfortable rooms come with King - Queen - size beds which all face the street. The city of Cape May declared a National Historic Landmark in 1976, is today a resort for all seasons.
