Info

C.E. Doyle was founded in 1974 by Chuck Doyle. In the beginning, the company was primarily a residential and agricultural concrete and masonry contractor, with a total of two employees. Soon after the company grew and began doing commercial work. In 1979, with a total of 12 employees, Chuck Doyle decided to enter the Southeastern Wisconsin market. By 1983, the company had secured enough market share to justify moving company headquarters to a suburb of Milwaukee. In 1985, an excavation division was added to perform foundation trenching and small site work projects. It was during this time that the company really grew. By 1987, C.E. Doyle L.L.C. employed 70 people and was doing numerous commercial projects. Even though the company was growing, on the horizon were signs of a labor shortage. Based on the labor situation, and shrinking profit margins in a very competitive market, Chuck Doyle decided to look towards alternative building methods. In 1989, C.E. Doyle became a design/build firm and began to market concrete tilt-up buildings. This building method was chosen for several reasons. The main reasons were less labor and the most energy efficient insulating system on the market. In 1990, C.E. Doyle built the first THERMOMASS tilt-up project in Wisconsin. While progress was slow, eventually the tilt-up market grew to more than 65 percent of the company's annual business. With the growth of the tilt-up product, in 1998, C.E. Doyle added in-house engineering, and split the construction business into a design/build company and a subcontracting firm called Doyle Contractors, Inc. From our humble beginnings to our leading edge technology, C.E. Doyle Design/Build Contractors and Engineers will continue to provide the highest value project for your construction dollar.
