Applied Energy Solutions was established in 1949 in Caledonia, New York as Caledonia Transformers, a manufacturer of transformers and power supplies. Later, the company manufactured power conversion equipment for a variety of military and commercial applications. In 1979, as Chloride Electro Networks, the company evolved into its present status as a leading manufacturer of industrial battery chargers for forklifts, pallet jacks, and other battery powered transportation equipment. Our present owner and President, Vern P. Fleming, purchased the company in 2000 and changed the name from CEN Electronics to Applied Energy Solutions in 2001. Since 2001, we introduced 4 new battery charger model lines, refined our North American distributor network, and added 3 regional sales offices to better serve our customers. Unlike other battery charger manufacturers, we design and build our own control electronic circuit boards and transformers. Our vertical integration provides us with exceptional quality control, flexibility, and speed. Furthermore, we have been recently upgraded to the latest ISO 9001:2000 Standard.
