The company, established in January 2004 as a division of Alfa Wassermann, Inc. (AWI), has developed a proven technology that permits gentle, non-denaturing isolation, accumulation, and enrichment of organelles. Our initial instrument the AW Promatix 1000 allows for the automated fractionation, concentration, and enrichment of organelles by use of continuous-flow ultracentrifugation. AWPT has leveraged and built upon AWI's established centrifugation technologies to develop products that significantly improve the quality and reduce the complexity of organellar and lipoprotein proteomic analysis.
