Description of Montana Bentonite LLC
Montana Bentonite is a mining and manufacturing venture specializing in a unique calcium bentonite. This organic clay is not the swelling or expanding bentonite used for drilling and such, which is the sodium form. Calcium bentonite is a minimal-swelling organic mineral clay. As the "Mineral of a Thousand Uses", calcium bentonite has been and is used for a wide variety of purposes. For holding water both in- as pond, ditches and dams, as well as for holding water out- as waterproofing structures, this clay forms a tight seal when moisturized and compacted in place. It will "lay down and stay down" in place- not eroding away so easily as the expanding forms. In skin care, both human and animal, it pulls toxins and infections to it and removes them from the body. As a manufactufing material it is employed in plastics, pharmaceutical and paint fillers and conditioning of water and wines. We continue to learn more about our clay from the many professionals and practitioners who have contacted us and with whom we have become acquainted through this clay.
