Opportunities Credit Union has been providing financial services to members through out Vermont since 1989. Like all credit unions, Opportunities Credit Union is a not-for-profit cooperative owned by its members. What sets Opportunities Credit Union apart is that we are the only social mission driven, Community Development Credit Union in the entire state! We provide socially responsible services and products to eligible individuals and organizations. Members must meet at least one of the following qualifications:Employee, volunteer, member, client, or supporter of a non-profit or religious organization serving low-income Vermonters (i.e. member of volunteer organization, church parishioner, contributor to local fire department, food shelf client, etc.); Resident or business owner in the low-income area designated as the Old North End in the Burlington City Plan of 1984; Resident or business owner in the City of Winooski; Relative of above-named individuals or employees of the credit union; Non-profit or religious organization serving low-income Vermonters.
