Attorney ISMAIL LAHER has practiced law in the United States since 1991. He is a graduate of Georgetown Law Center in Washington DC and of Harvard Business School in Boston MA. Mr. Laher passed the New York State Bar Exam while he was a full time law student in 1991. Mr. Laher was associated as a full time attorney with the law firm of Jones Day Reavis and Pogue in their Washington DC office from 1991-1998. He subsequently opened his office in New York City at One Liberty Plaza where he represented clients including a major US manufacturer in complex product liability defense litigation. Mr. Laher also practiced law in South Africa initially as an Attorney with the the law firm of Rooth and Wessels in Pretoria and later as an Advocate with the Society of Advocates in Johannesburg. He is a proud graduate of the University of Natal Law School (LL.B) and The University of Durban Westville B.A. (Law). Mr. Laher has relocated his office closer to his family home in the Northern Virginia area. However, Mr. Laher still travels frequently to the New York/Boston area to meet with clients and present free immigration seminars on select immigration topics. The office provides limited almost free initial consultations (by telephone, email or in person ). In addition, Mr. Laher schedules personalized confidential fee based consultations on a prearranged basis. The minimum fee is $75.00.
