Located in Burgaw, NC, just north of Wilmington, Chloride is internally integrated with design and development, engineering, manufacturing, quality control, sales, service, marketing, and administration under one roof. This all takes place in a 65,000 square foot facility to streamline our business and afford a high level of "reachable" service to the market. It also makes Chloride one of the last remaining US manufacturers of emergency lighting products. Chloride's goal is to provide a large selection of architectural, commercial, and industrial life safety products that are easy to install and not only meet, but in most cases, exceed safety codes and regulations. Product development efforts are tailored around the requirements found in UL 924, the National Electric Code (NEC), Life Safety Code (NFPA 101), Building Officials and Code Administrators (BOCA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the International Building Code (IBC) as well as maintaining direct contact with state-level regulatory agencies. Focusing solely on life safety products allows Chloride to offer smarter, more attractive, better quality products. This equates to longer-service life, energy-saving emergency lighting and exit signs for the customer ranging from simple wall-mounted units to complex systems. New product development has produced a wide offering of products utilizing the latest in LED technology combined with sophisticated battery and charger combinations for unmatched readiness and reliability.
