Key activities of The Buffalo Prenatal-Perinatal Network program include: Quarterly consortium meetings, which provide professional education and information sharing for maternal child healthcare providers. Data collection and review to track trends in infant mortality, birth weights and other health indicators in the target populations. Professional education, conferences and training opportunities for maternal/child healthcare and human service providers, such as smoking cessation in pregnancy and HIV testing protocols.
