In 1997, Gordy retired from Superior to commit to growing G&G fitness. In 2000 G&G Fitness expanded to Pittsburgh, PA. Four years later G&G expanded once again to North East Ohio including Cleveland and Akron. In 2006 G&G Fitness continued its expansion by purchasing the highly respected 5 store chain in southern Ohio called "The Fitness Store."
