Eagle Test Systems, Inc. designs, manufactures, sells and services automated test equipment (ATE) for the semiconductor industry. The Company’s customers, including semiconductor manufacturers and assembly, and test subcontractors, use its products to test analog, a combination of digital and analog, known as mixed-signal, and radio frequency (RF) semiconductors. Its SmartPin technology enables multiple semiconductor devices to be tested simultaneously, or in parallel, on an individual test system, permitting greater test throughput. Semiconductors tested by the Company’s systems are incorporated into a range of products, including digital cameras, moving picture experts group layer-3 audio (MP3) players, cellular telephones, video/multimedia products, automotive electronics, computer peripherals, and notebook and desktop computers. In November 2008, Teradyne, Inc. acquired Eagle Test Systems, Inc., persuant to which, Eagle Test has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Teradyne, Inc.
