The Company’s wholly owned subsidiary named Akorn (New Jersey), Inc., which operates in Somerset, New Jersey and is involved in manufacturing, product development, and administrative activities related to the ophthalmic and hospital drugs and injectables. The customers of the Company include physicians, optometrists, hospitals, wholesalers, group purchasing organizations and other pharmaceutical companies. The segments of the Company are ophthalmic, hospital drugs & injectables, biologics & vaccines, and contract services.
