Small Potatoes is a company born from a passion for fine dining. Chef and owner David Salvatore started cooking in professional kitchens at age 16, and his career has taken him from his tiny home town of Bound Brook, NJ to The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, then to California, New England, the South-West of France and finally Pennsylvania where he fell in love with the Philadelphia region. Started as a small private chef business in 2001, Small Potatoes is a catering company that focuses on intimate home entertaining, corporate lunches and celebrations, and special events for up to 150 guests. We use locally grown, sustainable pasture and organic ingredients and prefer working with small local farmers and family-owned distributors rather than giant food conglomerates. Our menus begin with a classic French approach, and blend Asian, Mediterranean and California cuisine to create a unique, modern signature style. We invite you to visit us at our newly renovated office and kitchen space, located in Rosemont, in the heart of the beautiful Main Line area.
