Alternately, you can post anything related to either the directory or information you found, or are looking for, in the Community forums section of Intergenerations. The directions for these forums may be found in the beginning of each page, and to the right of the front page of Intergenerations you will find a link directly to them. Intergenerations is divided into distinct sections: Community Care Options, Health Care Facilities, Retirement Communities, Elder Resources and other services. Community Care Options are services designed to keep an Older Adult living independently in the community at his or her home. Health Care Facilities are organizations with an ability to provide medical care on some level to a person while residing at their respective facility. Retirement Communities are separated from Health Care Facilities and Community Care Options, since many other individuals residing there consider the Retirement Community to be their home, while at the same time, offering expanded health care services. Elder Resources are primarily resources that are informational, social, or organizations providing counseling, medical equipment, or the sale of other services useful to older adults and their family members. You may access a section of Intergenerations at any time by using your mouse and cursor to "click" on the section directly on the Lighthouse Trademark at the top of the page or by touching the cursor on the blue highlighted words on the front page of the directory. Most pages in Intergenerations have the trademarked lighthouse on the top of the page, and on the directory's sections, it also appears on the bottom as well. A user may, at any time, press "Back" to return to a previous page. It is important to the beginner to note that any colored lettering throughout Intergenerations will take the user somewhere else when it is clicked on. This may be to information that Intergenerations has prepared, or to an alternate home page on the World Wide Web. Also, a great many pages have the word "definition" written in blue at the top, which, when clicked, will take you immediately to the glossary to retrieve the definition. Rather than list every link(s) to an alternate home page in one area, Intergenerations has placed the link on the top or bottom of the page it is most related to in terms of educational material. All links have been painstakingly reviewed for quality, and are considered some of the web's finest. Links for medical information are throughout the directory, but the most utilized, tend to be found in the physician section of Intergenerations. The user would click on Community Care Options, then click on Physicians, and then to the Physician Links. Many of these links are health related home pages that the staff of Intergenerations found most useful. Tour the site - the Pharmacy section has two great medicine information links, as does Hospice, and even the Nutrition Section found in the Nursing Home section.
