Hahn Engineering is a civil and environmental engineering company specializing in consulting for County governments and local municipalities and private developers for site planning, engineering and construction administration. Our experience also includes design of commercial and residential developments including the design of wastewater treatment facilities and water supply treatment plants and distribution systems. Construction oversight is also part of our expertise which ultimately insures that the Owner is rewarded with a project as envisioned by the design professional. Hahn Engineering has designed numerous development projects consisting of commercial and industrial office parks, parks and recreational facilities, subdivisions and related facilities. Included in these facilities is the design of sewage treatment and water treatment plants. Hahn Engineering also has worked with the USEPA and NYSDEC in the remediation of polluted sites throughout Westchester County and lower New York State. Hahn Engineering has designed athletic facilities such as softball, baseball, soccer fields and tennis courts and was the lead engineer and construction manager in the design and construction of a 74,000 SF double ice rink facility including lounge and 10,000 SF health center. Included in this design was all associated engineering such as drainage, grading and electrical work. Hahn Engineering consults for several municipalities in Westchester and Putnam Counties and specializes in reviewing proposed projects before their respective Planning Boards. Hahn Engineering was also selected by Westchester County to evaluate two affordable housing sites for development. Hahn Engineering has recently designed water development and distribution systems and acted as construction administrator supplying inspection and requisition liaison between the owner and Contractor. Hahn Engineering designs and performs construction inspection services for municipal construction projects including athletic facilities, roads, drainage work, sewage treatment plants, sanitary sewers, sidewalks, and water supply facilities. Hahn Engineering has in the past performed numerous projects that addressed NYSDEC regulations concerning Stormwater Management. Hahn Engineering has reviewed numerous projects for municipalities throughout Westchester County with regard to the latest NYSDEC regulations concerning Stormwater discharges. We have also conducted various site investigations focusing on the identification, closure and permitting of underground injection wells subject to USEPA regulation. Hahn Engineering was selected for the design of a United States Environmental Protection Agency Superfund Site. This project consisted of the design and construction administration of a groundwater aquifer project which was polluted with tetrachloroethylene. The design included pumping the aquifer, treating the groundwater by the use of air strippers, chlorination, and pumping treated water into the municipal water distribution system.
