Mount Washington Resort offers a babysitter referral program as a service to its guests with children. The Events and Activities department maintains a roster of child caregivers and coordinates requests from guests with available caregivers. Babysitters are not employees of Mount Washington Resort, but are independent contractors hired by Resort guests to care for their children. Our child caregivers participate in training regarding the expectations of their responsibility, maturity and decorum in their functions as a child caregiver. Many of our child caregivers have independently participated in CPR, First Aid training and/or locally offered babysitting courses. Advance notice is required for scheduling a babysitter. Requests for a child caregiver incur a $10 babysitter referral process fee. Requests within 24 hours of needed time will be assessed a $15 babysitter referral process fee. Babysitters hired are paid directly by the family who has hired them at a rate of $10 an hour; $2 for each additional child. Babysitters are only permitted to care for four children at a time and have a three-hour minimum per family. Prior to any contact made to the Resort's roster of child caregivers, parents need to complete the Mount Washington Resort Babysitter Referral Services Agreement & Release of Liability form. This form can be faxed to 603.278.7805 or emailed to sboone@mountwashingtonresort.com. Once the form has been received, attention is made to fit the best babysitter with the requesting family. Once a fit has been determined, families receive a confirmation letter and a copy of the babysitter's Child Caregiver Resume. Parents are encouraged to speak directly with their babysitter and to check their caregiver's references prior to their arrival to the Resort.
