Tiger Run Investments, Inc. (TRI) maintains it's own property insurance for the Administration Building, Pavilion, Equipment and Vehicles and it's own Liability Insurance for it's actions as a Property Management company. Who is liable if an accident happens in the pool or hot tubs? The Association is the owner of those facilities and would be liable. The management company, being responsible for those facilities, would also be liable. Both entities are insured for this type of event. What process is needed to change the title of Summit County Campground Association to Tiger Run Resort in a legal manner? The easiest way to get around using SCCA may be to have the Board adopt a DBA (doing business as) for the Association. This does not get rid of SCCA, but allows us to use a more appropriate name on all documents, bank accounts and checks. I am waiting on confirmation of this process with our attorney.
