Parsec was founded in 1988 with the purpose of providing technology consulting and implementation services to the leading manufacturing companies. Parsec provided advanced software-based solutions to automate the production processes. By mid 1990's, it was becoming increasingly clear that successful solutions required both advanced technology and a measurable means to increase productivity. This marked the beginning of our organized effort to develop reusable software applications to assist in accurately assessing and improving the manufacturing productivity. After having delivered a number of semi-custom solutions to several of our major clients, in 1998, we introduced the first fully productized version of TrakSYSÔ manufacturing productivity management application software suite. TrakSYSÔ is a robust and powerful software product that is used to measure and analyze factory performance in real-time. TrakSYSÔ technology makes it possible to configure and deploy effective solutions quickly and typically without changes to the existing IT and automation infrastructures. This allows TrakSYSÔ to truly be a cost-effective approach for companies that are looking to improve productivity of existing assets without costly modifications and disruptions to their operations. In the year 2000, Parsec gained global exposure when we entered into an agreement with WonderwareÔ, a leading supplier of industrial automation and information software, to sell Parsec's TrakSYSÔ under the name DT AnalystÔ as a component of its FactorySuiteÔ product family. The DT AnalystÔ product is sold through Wonderware's worldwide distribution network, and is available in many languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Italian, and Portuguese. In 2002, Parsec added real-time OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) and TEEP (total effective equipment performance) capabilities to the TrakSYSÔ suite. In the words of one Parsec client, "OEE is the single most effective improvement methodology we have ever used ... and we have tried them all!" The capabilities provided by Parsec's OEE and TEEP algorithms are still unmatched in the marketplace and are further expanded with TrakSYSÔ 4.0 which was released in September 2005.
