Bridger Bowl has been committed to recycling for many years. We recycle 100% of our cardboard and glass generated on the mountain (with our own bailer and crusher), all of our lubricant oils, lift grease, fryer fats, large steel, aluminum, wire, administrative paper and magazines are recycled. In 2001 we switched to waterless urinals (saving over 200,000 gallons of water during a typical ski season). Starting this season Bridger Bowl will be purchasing green tags for energy generated through zero emission heat exhaust captured from natural gas pump turbines in Basin Electric Cooperative's North Dakota pipeline. recycled chair liftThrough our guest services we will have a more obvious and deliberate recycling collection system in our food service areas for glass, plastic and aluminum products. Our food services department will also be using bamboo/ sugarcane based plate products in the cafeterias. We are currently reconditioning a 1976 Doppelmayr double chair which we purchased from Snowbird Ski Resort. This 'recycled' chair lift will be providing new lift served terrain access for our expert skiers scheduled for the 2008-09 season.
