Peoples Church is a community church in the tri-city area and we’re excited that you came to visit us today. We’ve been in this area since 1951 when founding pastors Claude and Dorothy Harris moved to Kankakee with intentions of beginning a new church work. In the fall of 1952, they held their first church service in a small rented building on Cypress St. Seventeen people attended that first meeting.
