In the last ten years, Ms. Clark has planned weddings, board meetings, national annual dinners in destination cities, small intimate parties and larger galas, all with a keen sense of style and creative flair making every event unique. Heather is also a certified Professional Bridal Consultant & member of the Association of Bridal Consultants. The Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) has been the professional organization for the wedding industry since 1981 and has almost 4,000 members in 26 countries on six continents. The Association of Bridal Consultants is a membership service organization, designed to increase awareness of the wedding business and improve the professionalism of members. Heather is a member of ISES, The International Special Events Society. Founded in 1987 to foster enlightened performance through education while promoting ethical conduct, ISES works to join professionals to focus on the "event as a whole" rather than its individual parts. ISES has grown to involve over 4,000 members active in 41 chapters throughout the world. Membership brings together professionals from a variety of special events disciplines including caterers, meeting planners, decorators, event planners, audio-visual technicians, party and convention coordinators, educators, journalists, hotel sales managers and many more professional disciplines. Calluna is the scientific genus name for the plant heather. Heather is commonly found on the moorlands of northern Europe and eastern North America. One cannot think of the highlands of Scotland without imagining the beautiful rolling hills of heather. The name Calluna is derived from the Greek word kallunein, which means to cleanse. The name evokes a feeling of simplicity and clean lines. In Scotland, brides carry a sprig of heather in their bouquets. White heather is very rare, brings good fortune and protects against evil.
